It is always a pleasure to read the work of an enthusiast. Rose Elliot loves her subject and this fact shines through in every recipe.

This book covers all bases - dinner party food, healthy options, classics, quickies etc. Yet it doesn't spread itself too thinly. Each section features a number of recipes to appeal to a wide variety of cooks. As an added bonus, this book has been approved by The Vegetarian Society so you know you're on safe ground.

The colour photographs show you what most of the meals should look like and the format is clear and concise. My only criticism here is that I find it is easier to to prepare and follow a recipe if the ingredients are presented as a vertical list, rather than horizontally across the page.

There is much to tempt you in this book. Her Vegetarian Pad Thai should be an essential part of every serious veggie cook's repertoire.
