410g can chick peas

4-5 tbsp tahini

juice of 1½ lemons

2 tbsp olive oil

2-3 cloves garlic, crushed

¼tsp paprika

½tsp salt

black pepper

 

Drain the chick peas, reserving the liquid.

Put the chick peas into the liquidiser with ¼pt of the liquid and blend to a stiff paste, adding more liquid if necessary.

Add all the other ingredients and blend until thoroughly mixed.

Put into a bowl and leave for 2 hours to allow flavour to develop. Taste and add more seasoning and lemon juice if necessary.

Sprinkle a little more paprika on top.
