Serves 4
2 large carrots
1 small swede
25g butter
1tsp black pepper
Peel carrots and chop into rings
Peel swede and chop into small evenly-sized pieces.
Place in a pan of salted water. Bring to the boil and simmer for about 25-30 minutes.
Drain water from the pan and add the butter and the black pepper.
Mash everything together until it is in small lumps. (It should not be smooth).
